Meet our Newest SEA Accredited Professionals

The Sustainable Event Alliance is proud to announce our newest SEA Accredited Professionals from Singapore, Australia, Portugal and USA. 

As the global events industry is in a hiatus, those of us not being consumed by the pivot to virtual have had time to think more deeply about sustainability and how that might be applied to events as we move out of this global crisis. It is obvious that moving forwards, events must be purpose-led and responsibly address four key concerns: covid-safe, climate impact, single use plastic, and inclusivity.

Off the back of our Global Hackathon people have been inspired to get their house in order and establish their credibility and qualifications for sustainable event management, ready to produce responsible and purpose-led events into the future.


Becoming a member of the SEA has allowed me to connect and learn from some of the brightest minds in the sustainability and events space, something I hope to continue as a SEA-accredited event sustainability specialist. 

Completing the accreditation has enabled me to gain an in-depth understanding of a wide range of sustainability issues, from ethical and sustainable supply chains through to energy and water conservation; responsible waste management; social innovation; or sustainable travel. I have really enjoyed this practical learning experience which I have already applied, and will continue to use in my sustainability work.

We are pleased to introduce you to the newest cohort of Sustainable Event Alliance Accredited Professionals.

Specialists are recognised for their up-to-date knowledge and experience within the field of sustainability in event management and their competency to advise, assess or train others.

Practitioners are events professionals with skills and competency in sustainable event management that demonstrate they are able to apply this to their event production roles.

The SEA Accredited Professional programme independently assesses event professional's knowledge and application of sustainable event management best practice. Applicants must meet pre-requisites to apply.

Ana Pinheiro

Passionate stage manager with 15 years of experience in producing, and  management of sport, corporate and cultural events.

Experience as a creative producer, working with various performers and supporting light, video, sound and stage crew work. Working with larger crews every year, stakeholders and budget management, working on different types of venues. Embracing a new sustainable perspective on how to deliver event services. 

Ana is the principle of Green Mind Events, operating in Portugal, offering sustainable event production for weddings, corporate, and parties.

Trang Chu Minh

Sustainability Professional | Social Enterprise & Women’s Rights Advocate | Storyteller 

Based out of Singapore and Indonesia, as Head of Summits and Sustainable Events, Trang leads a global sustainability and diversity and inclusion project for Refinitiv (formerly Thomson Reuters Financial & Risk).

Highlights of her sustainable events work include:

  • developing Refinitiv’s first sustainable events policy;
  • launching the company’s first diversity and inclusion policy targeted at creating more diverse speaker faculties and more accessible events;
  • rolling out a venue sustainability screen globally to ensure that sustainability is embedded as a key criteria in sourcing processes;
  • going plastic-, paper-, and merchandise-free at key proprietary events;
  • replacing give-aways with a donation to charities committed to the UN SDGs;
  • actively engaging social enterprises as event suppliers;
  • developing a post-event sustainability scorecard to measure the effectiveness of the policy, and to eventually integrate event sustainability in the company’s annual sustainability report.

In addition, she divides her time as Asia Correspondent for Causeartist, looking after the media platform’s coverage of the region, as a freelance contributor to publications focused on social and environmental issues, and as a consultant on international development projects on topics ranging from climate change mitigation to education or women’s rights. 

Her previous consulting projects include working on development cooperation with the EU Mission to ASEAN and the EU Delegation to Indonesia, as well as USAID’s Alliance for Sustainable Palm Oil Initiative.

Mark Rochford

I grew up on an organic farm and was raised with respect for nature and a deep understanding of environmental issues. An understanding and respect that I have advocated for throughout my career.

My first ever paid job was with the local paper recycler. At age 14.

Twenty four years later I started Frank Wild, an events agency with a dedication to sustainable design and production. Through previous years of music, corporate and commercial events I was able to identify major issues and cultivate a viable approach to addressing changes in policies and procedures that were necessary to develop a model for my own sustainable events agency.

I’m proud of the work we do in inspiring clients to commit to sustainability practices despite the challenges they may face along the way. Every client has a unique set of circumstances that requires particular attention, but we always approach each project from the same starting point – How do we help them make this more sustainable?

I always encourage and support my team at Frank Wild to speak up, contribute and collaborate with the intention of continuing to push the boundaries of sustainable design and production, and I see our company’s responsibility in the industry as one to encourage others to do the same.

Any used flags, scrim and other fabric displays are returned to so they can turn them back into useful items and give them a new lease of life.

They also produce dog toys that that are donated to local dog welfare charities and centres. These items are handmade in the Harrison Creative studio, and they can make bespoke items.
